Does It Ring a Bell?

Preamble

This problem could be either of the two:

• cute simple riddle with no programming involved, or
• hard-core hacking task.

It’s up to you how you decide to approach it. We suggest you go for the former (most likely we will follow up on music-related languages later and there will be a good deal of programming there).
